Holiday Inn Resort Bintan Lagoi

A quick escapade for me and my son — we absolutely loved our stay! He was thrilled with the indoor playground and the many swimming pools, while I truly enjoyed the massage. Everything was completely fuss-free — from being picked up and dropped off at the ferry terminal to check-in and check-out, all perfectly handled by the hotel. A decent and good place to go for a short getaway 2 nights and 3 days (not more than that).
Went to Holiday Inn Bintan to stay and celebrate my son's 3rd year birthday. I also informed them earlier that I am coming to celebrate my son's birthday as I specially ordered for a cake and dinner restaurant which required extra expenses.

I have stayed in many other places where extra effort was seen in at least having balloons inside the room for a young boy celebrating his birthday at their premise. However there was only a small piece of cake inside when we checked in which didn't amuse my son much. I had specially requested for balloons and they accommodated to give me 6 unblown balloons, we blew it ourselves for our son.

Premises are interesting because they have 2 big pools and wide sitting space in their restaurant. Their Kids club boasts of both indoor and outdoor play area which are interesting (flying fox, free bicycles, scooter etc). They also rented board games and uno cards. Their water splash area is decent not exactly mind-blowing. But their wide spaced swimming pools were great because it was like having 2 lazy river swimming pools with bean bags on the water to act as rafts. Depth of each pool was not more than 1.5m. Lots of safe water play areas for young kids within the swimming pools. Well thought through kudos.

They had complimentary bicycles to use but they were only limited (less than 5) to be shared with almost 2 hotel guests to share (Hotel Indigo and Holiday Inn both co located).

Restaurant provided free buffet or ala carte for children less than 11 years old. Good gesture, thank you. Please take note that there is absolutely no grab food or delivery in Bintan (you must only eat within the hotel), hence free food for children is a blessing.

Their beach is a far walk from the rooms at least 10mins. Please be careful that the beach is not exactly safe because it has purple flags up. Lots of jellyfishes spotted at ankle deep waters which are easily missed as plastics. Those with kids please take note and be careful.
Well equipped and well managed gym.
Generally all staff were very friendly and child friendly and hospitable except a handful of them who are not focussed and quite blur. But it's not a big deal.

Holding a corporate event at Holiday Inn Bintan Lagoi was a great experience. The hotel is new, and it shows, everything feels fresh and well-kept. The rooms are huge, spacious, clean, and beautifully designed, which made for a very comfortable stay.

Service was smooth and professional throughout, making it easy to focus on the event itself. I’d also recommend it for families and couples, as the space and facilities really cater to both business and leisure.

Had a wonderful 4d3n stay at Holiday Inn Bintan with the family (2 kids: 3 years & 1 year old). The resort is very new, having opened just a few months ago in May 2025, and the staff are very well trained and eager to please. Special shoutout to Dian at the front desk, and Adel & Eki at the restaurant for taking such good care of us and the kids.

Even the most basic room is nice, spacious, and clean. There are tons of things for young kids to do and everything was very well laid out. The Mangrove Kids Club was great with multiple indoor and outdoor areas, not to mention totally free and packed within a schedule of activities as well.

Basically everything to do with kids under 12 is free - staying in the room, food at restaurants, kids club and activities, etc. This was a pleasant surprised and not mentioned much online.

The pools were also well designed for both young and old, and a lot more fun and interesting with varying depth areas and 'lazy river' style layout, as opposed to the conventional big blob pool approach.

There were also bikes scattered around the resort with kids seats that we could use to ride around to the neighbouring Indigo resort and beach - the kids loved it!

Another unexpected surprise was how quiet it was - despite the resort going Instagram viral in Singapore, it never felt too crowded and we could often walk 15+ minutes around in the mid afternoon, evening, or night without seeing anyone other than the staff. We saw this as a perk to get away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy the resort life. That said, the breakfast buffet and kids club at certain times were quite busy, so it's not like the resort is empty, just spread out enough to not feel crowded.

Overall we had a fantastic time and have recommended Holiday Inn Bintan to many of our friends with young kids (probably under 7-8 is best). We're also already planning our next trip back! - 13 Sep 2025 

There’s free shuttle service from Bintan ferry terminal directly to Holiday Inn. We were greeted by Windy, Sukma & Adi on our arrival day. Nunu assist us with the room too. They are so friendly and cheerful. Great service 👏🏻

Food & drinks are great at Strawbella & Warung Lagoi, I’m glad they had different variety so that guests staying for consecutive nights won’t get sick of the same menu.

Breakfast buffet was excellent although the crowd was massive. Staff were all very friendly and would greet me when I walked past. They would also strike conversations around the pool. Housekeeping was quick and good as well.

Amenities and facilities are brand new - they have different kinds of kids’ activities to keep your child busy! Our pool access room is spacious with big bed. All crew onsite are able to converse in English and were all very helpful too. Very comfortable and relaxing stay.

Check-in was easy, and the staff were not only friendly but also truly dedicated to what they do. My son was crying outside the family room because he had scratched his ankle, and I want to give a special mention to Mas Dedeng, one of the staff members. He immediately ran to get us a first aid kit. Honestly, he could have just walked past—since it’s quite common for toddlers to cry—but he didn’t. He stayed to make sure we were okay and asked if we needed anything. Thank you for being so thoughtful.

The buffet dinner menu was excellent. As a local, I can vouch that the taste was truly authentic and delicious.

A truly family-friendly resort. The Kids Club was so much fun—our children loved it! There were different activities every hour, and kids above 5 years old could even stay there on their own. The staff at the Kids Club were kind, patient, and really great with the children.

I stayed at Holiday Inn Bintan for my bachelorette trip with my closest friends and it honestly exceeded all of our expectations. It was their first time in Asia and this hotel made it unforgettable.
The resort is stunning, peaceful and beautifully maintained. Our rooms were spacious and super comfortable, with thoughtful little touches every day.
But what truly made the difference was the incredible staff. Every single person we interacted with was warm, helpful and went above and beyond to make us feel special.
