Holiday Inn Resort Bintan Lagoi

Had a very enjoyable family holiday at this huge and spacious resort! Was with a family of 13 pax, including 5 young kids under 7.

The kids favourites were:
1. Free koi fish feeding at the Warung restaurant everyday.
2. Free gondola ride around the pond.
3. Free 2-hour drop-off at kids club for kids 4 and above. Tho wet weather activities were limited.
4. Multiple pools/ lazy river. Water park.

Parents favourites were:
1. Beautiful and rather quiet surroundings
2. Nice photo spots
3. Nice clean rooms. We stayed at the suite and there was a huge bathroom with a nice bathtub, and the balcony leads directly to the pool.
4. Access to nearby hotel indigo with shared facilities/ activities to do.

Our third trip to Bintan, but our first time at Holiday Inn—and it far exceeded our expectations! We stayed in a two-bedroom suite with pool access, which was perfect for a family with two kids. Being able to hop directly from the pool back into our room was a huge highlight for the little ones.

The food selection is a bit limited, but the quality is high, and you have the option to visit the restaurant at Indigo nearby. A special shout-out to the restaurant staff who were incredibly friendly and proactive in seeking feedback; you can tell they truly care about the guest experience. Also, don’t miss the live band during dinner—they were amazing and my kids absolutely loved the performance.

The Kids Club is huge and beautifully designed. My only piece of feedback is regarding the time policy there. One staff member mentioned a 2-hour limit with extra charges for longer stays, while the front desk clarified it was complimentary for all guests. A bit of a miscommunication, but easily resolved.

Overall, this is one of the best kid-friendly resorts we’ve visited. We would love to come back! - 17 Feb 2026 

We stayed at Holiday Inn Resort and had a wonderful experience. The resort is beautifully new and well maintained. our room was spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed for the family.

The swimming pools were excellent – both the adult and kids’ pools were clean, well designed and perfect for families. We spent a lot of time there and thoroughly enjoyed the facilities.

Most importantly, what made our holiday special was the outstanding service from the staff. From the moment we arrived, everyone was warm, welcoming and genuinely eager to help. Galang and the reception team were fantastic. Not only did they help us get oriented on the first day, but Galang also kindly assisted us with several of our requests during the stay, including helping us store our baby’s food safely.

At the restaurant where we had all our meals, the service was equally exceptional. Nadia, Yardi, Yola, Lilis, Zunny and Tika and team were all amazing – always friendly, attentive, responsive and very accommodating. We had special dietary needs for our baby, and they were patient in helping us with the request. Their kindness, flexibility, and cheerful attitude made meal times enjoyable and stress-free.

Throughout our stay, every staff member was approachable, professional, and proactive. Thank you to the entire Holiday Inn Resort Bintan team for making our family holiday such a memorable and relaxing one. - 10 Feb 2026 

I usually don’t write reviews, but this one truly deserves it! I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation to this resort for going above and beyond to help us locate my child’s favorite toy that was left behind in the room and even arranging to have it sent all the way to Jakarta. This thoughtful gesture meant so much to our family.

Our year-end family holiday here was absolutely wonderful and unforgettable. The facilities are excellent, especially the large, kid-friendly swimming pool, which our child loved. The restaurant is another highlight, serving delicious food, and the kids’ playroom is truly impressive.
We also really enjoyed our morning walks through the beautifully maintained gardens. The hotel’s direct access to the beach was a big plus, and we were fortunate to have perfect weather during our stay.

We enjoyed a short weekend family getaway on Bintan Island and chose to stay at Holiday Inn Resort Bintan Lagoi Beach, which turned out to be a wonderful choice. One thing we really appreciated was its convenient location — less than a five-minute drive from the ferry terminal, making arrival and departure very seamless.

The resort is relatively new, having opened just about a year ago, and it shows. Upon arrival, we were immediately struck by the stunning lobby, which feels vast, airy, and beautifully set amid lush greenery. The irregular-shaped swimming pool adds to the resort’s relaxed, resort-style charm.

The resort is also extremely family- and kid-friendly. There is a dedicated water playground, as well as both indoor and outdoor play areas, which kept our child happily engaged throughout the stay and made it especially enjoyable for families travelling with young ones.

Service was consistently excellent. The staff were cheerful, attentive, and always greeted us with warm smiles, making us feel genuinely welcomed throughout our stay. The expansive beach, with its white sand and dramatic waves, is just a short walk from the resort and was a highlight for our family.

Breakfast was another strong point, offering a generous spread of both local Indonesian and Western options. The resort also provides a complimentary hourly shuttle to Plaza Lagoi, where there is a good mix of eateries, a gelato parlour, and convenience stores.

Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable family stay, and we would definitely return for another family getaway! 😊 - 28 Dec 2025 

A very new resort. It's clean, modern-looking, and most importantly, filled with friendly staff. Always willing to go the extra mile to assist. You can feel the hospitality from the moment you exit the Bintan ferry terminal. The resort staff is there to guide you to the shuttle bus, and you will be taken care of from there onward.

My only suggestion is regarding the restaurant capacity. I hope this can be increased, as during peak season, you might be unable to book an earlier dining time for your family.

A quick escapade for me and my son — we absolutely loved our stay! He was thrilled with the indoor playground and the many swimming pools, while I truly enjoyed the massage. Everything was completely fuss-free — from being picked up and dropped off at the ferry terminal to check-in and check-out, all perfectly handled by the hotel. A decent and good place to go for a short getaway 2 nights and 3 days (not more than that).
Went to Holiday Inn Bintan to stay and celebrate my son's 3rd year birthday. I also informed them earlier that I am coming to celebrate my son's birthday as I specially ordered for a cake and dinner restaurant which required extra expenses.

I have stayed in many other places where extra effort was seen in at least having balloons inside the room for a young boy celebrating his birthday at their premise. However there was only a small piece of cake inside when we checked in which didn't amuse my son much. I had specially requested for balloons and they accommodated to give me 6 unblown balloons, we blew it ourselves for our son.

Premises are interesting because they have 2 big pools and wide sitting space in their restaurant. Their Kids club boasts of both indoor and outdoor play area which are interesting (flying fox, free bicycles, scooter etc). They also rented board games and uno cards. Their water splash area is decent not exactly mind-blowing. But their wide spaced swimming pools were great because it was like having 2 lazy river swimming pools with bean bags on the water to act as rafts. Depth of each pool was not more than 1.5m. Lots of safe water play areas for young kids within the swimming pools. Well thought through kudos.

They had complimentary bicycles to use but they were only limited (less than 5) to be shared with almost 2 hotel guests to share (Hotel Indigo and Holiday Inn both co located).

Restaurant provided free buffet or ala carte for children less than 11 years old. Good gesture, thank you. Please take note that there is absolutely no grab food or delivery in Bintan (you must only eat within the hotel), hence free food for children is a blessing.

Their beach is a far walk from the rooms at least 10mins. Please be careful that the beach is not exactly safe because it has purple flags up. Lots of jellyfishes spotted at ankle deep waters which are easily missed as plastics. Those with kids please take note and be careful.
Well equipped and well managed gym.
Generally all staff were very friendly and child friendly and hospitable except a handful of them who are not focussed and quite blur. But it's not a big deal.

Holding a corporate event at Holiday Inn Bintan Lagoi was a great experience. The hotel is new, and it shows, everything feels fresh and well-kept. The rooms are huge, spacious, clean, and beautifully designed, which made for a very comfortable stay.

Service was smooth and professional throughout, making it easy to focus on the event itself. I’d also recommend it for families and couples, as the space and facilities really cater to both business and leisure.

Overall, highly recommended, a modern hotel that delivers comfort, convenience, and great hospitality. - 23 Sep 2025
