Hotel Indigo Bintan Lagoi Beach Resort

We had a really great stay at Hotel Indigo Bintan Lagoi Beach! The hotel is beautiful and still feels very new. Our room was huge, super clean, and the AC was nice and cold.

The facilities were amazing, and all the staff were so friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay. I ordered a whole birthday cake for my husband, and the team helped arrange everything perfectly. The cake was delicious too!

Breakfast, lunch, dinner was really good with lots of options. We especially loved the Indonesian dishes. they were so flavorful and honestly reminded us how much we missed authentic Indonesian food while living in Singapore.

The beach was also beautiful,very clean with soft sand, perfect for relaxing.

Indigo staffs services is top notch! You will always be acknowledged everywhere you go. They sincerely greet us and always very helpful i once feedback on the lift earlier of the day, the staff went to look for me at the restaurant in the evening to understand the situation better and also update me on the followup. I'm so impressed! It's really a pleasant stay at indigo! Water sports activities is at the private beach. The beach is not too crowded. Cost of the activities are quite pricey. But hotel food is quite affordable and pretty tasty. Breakfast spread is quite limited, not much varieties and taste is just very average. But I like their pancakes and French toast. Lunch and dinner are nicer. The pillows are way too soft for my family. - 14 Jun 2026 

My family and I stayed at the Indigo Hotel for three days, and the stay was amazing. The premises were clean and well maintained, with a great view of the beach. I would like to compliment the staff here for providing exceptional service :). The service was enjoyable, pleasant and amazing!

A few staff members who stood out were Sigit, Amelia and Tommy. They were kind, courteous and responsive in serving us. There are more, but my apologies, I could not remember all their names. I had a wonderful time staying at this hotel. The room was spacious with outdoor bath tub, lots of things to do such as complimentary SUP and kayak and other water sports, free bikes around the hotel, kids club, and their service was top notch. Special mention to Bintang, Algitri, Ardi from the pool bar for their service and especially Bintang who offered to take my young son to the hotel clinic due to his minor injury on his feet after stepping on something at the beach. The whatsapp communication was also very helpful and convenient, the hotel kept us informed on all activities and also helped to print our ferry boarding passes, sent us by buggy to kids club as well. Spending the long weekend here with my family. We arrived at the ferry terminal and were greeted by the Hotel Indigo welcome staff right after clearing immigration and customs. The free shuttle took us directly to the hotel, which was just a 10min drive away. The check-in process was smooth, and our room was already prepared when we arrived. While I was busy at the counter, my daughter was already in the air-conditioned area making a kite with other kids, fully facilitated by the hotel staff.

Our room was modern, clean, and quite spacious, featuring a balcony with a nice sea view. The hotel has two swimming pools that my daughter really enjoyed. Both pools have a bar with their own distinct happy hours. The Voyage Bar runs its happy hour between 2pm and 4pm, while the Tiki Bar has theirs from 4pm to 6pm, offering a 3-for-2 deal on selected cocktails.

The buffet breakfast was a bit of a letdown. There was not a lot of variety, and the quality of the food was just so-so. Not bad, but just okay.
As Hotel Indigo guests, we were allowed access to the facilities at the neighboring Holiday Inn, so we went to the pools there on our second day. Unfortunately, they were out of pool towels and told us fresh ones would arrive in 20 minutes. Half an hour later, there were still no towels. When I asked the staff again, they explained that the laundry vendor had not delivered enough fresh towels and they didn't know when any would be available. It was the first time I have ever experienced a hotel pool running out of towels for guests, though to be fair, this happened at the Holiday Inn and not the property we were staying at.

Overall, the service at the Hotel Indigo itself was really good. The staff were all very accommodating and polite. Given the close proximity to the ferry terminal, the good service, well-appointed guest rooms, and beachfront views, I would definitely stay here again. - 02 Jun 2026 

We stayed at Indigo Bintan Lagoi Beach for 5 + 1 nights and booked multiple room categories for our family. Overall, this is a beautiful resort and we would definitely return.

The highlight of the stay was the beach. The soft white sand, calm water, beautiful scenery, and child-friendly environment made it perfect for families. My children spent hours playing there and i always felt comfortable letting them enjoy the surroundings. The overall ambiance of the resort is relaxing and beautifully designed. The staff were also excellent, especially Adel from Reception, who was professional, patient, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay.

Lunch and dinner were enjoyable, especially the Mahi Mahi, and the beverage selection was impressive. However, breakfast was the biggest disappointment. Many dishes lacked flavor and variety, and after trying numerous options during our stay, i found the overall breakfast experience quite underwhelming. The coffee was also overly milky, and i would love to see more milk alternatives such as almond milk or skim milk.

As an IHG member, my other concern was the smoking policy. I fully respect non-smoking regulations and we never smoke inside rooms or around children. However, the designated smoking areas felt poorly designed. One area was extremely hot during sunny weather and wet during rain, while another was located near the transportation and parking area. My concern is not the restriction itself, but the lack of comfortable and accessible designated smoking facilities. In a large beach resort, i believe there is room for better-designed smoking areas that remain separated from non-smoking guests while still treating smoking guests with consideration and comfort.

Despite these points, Indigo Bintan Lagoi Beach remains one of the most beautiful resorts in the area. The beach, atmosphere, family-friendly environment, and excellent staff make it worth visiting. I hope management considers improving the breakfast quality and designated smoking facilities, as those are the only two areas preventing this property from being truly exceptional. I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Indigo Bintan. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with complete amenities that made my stay even more convenient. There were also many activities available at the resort, which made the stay even more enjoyable. I especially loved the complimentary kayaking activity, which was a really fun experience during the trip. The food was also excellent, with a great variety and quality throughout the stay.

What truly made the experience special was the hospitality from the staff. Everyone was warm, attentive, and always ready to help. Special appreciation to Pak Yudi for the excellent hospitality and welcoming service, as well as Pak Herman for always making every transportation trip comfortable and pleasant. - 20 May 2026 

Had an amazing stay at Hotel Indigo Bintan — but what really made the experience special were the people.

Big shoutout to Fandy from Sugarbeats 🍸 — a super creative young bartender who didn’t just make drinks, but crafted a whole experience for us. He even created a custom cocktail for my wife and I, and we ended up brainstorming the name together 😂 definitely a fun and memorable moment!

Also want to thank Willy at the front desk 🙏 when the restaurant we wanted was fully booked, he reacted immediately and arranged a great alternative for us. His quick thinking and hospitality really warmed our hearts.

Service like this is what makes a trip unforgettable. Will definitely be back!

I checked out of Indigo yesterday afternoon and I am still dreaming about it. Knowing such a stunning piece of paradise exists in the world brings me such joy and I am already dreaming about my next stay. I can without a doubt say this is the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed, purely because of the service and attention to detail of the staff, the attention to detail of the atmosphere and decor and small little comforts like umbrellas at every corner to accommodate the impromptu rainfall, the turn-down service in the evenings, the light on the sand to make the beach sparkle even at night and the Whatsapp chat to advise of the daily activities. The access to the kids club at the Holiday Inn next door was also such a nice touch as we were travelling with our 17-month-old daughter (and might I add the kids menu at Sugarbeats was one of the best kids menus I've ever seen!). The only small annoyance is the lack of availability of pool beds with adequate shade. Particularly travelling with a toddler, we wanted her to be in the shade and we found there were groups who would occupy multiple beds all day, some "saving" the beds after breakfast with a hairclip or bottle of hand sanitiser but not actually arriving until some time later, or disappearing for hours at the beach. We were lucky it was a relatively quiet time during the middle of the week but I imagine on weekends or times when the hotel is at full capacity, there may not be enough suitable locations for 200+ guests. The pool is definitely a highlight and such a lovely place to spend hours and hours as the view of the beach is stunning, the close proximity and access to the beach is so cool and also being so near to the restaurant. Maybe a formal pool bed reservation and time limit might need to be utilised? Or more shaded options with bigger umbrellas or wider awnings.

But a big shout out to the staff, who are so kind and happy and our daughter absolutely loved greeting them every time we visited the restaurant for breakfast or a snack or dinner. I left a piece of my heart in Hotel Indigo Lagoi <3 - 04 Apr 2026
