The Residence Bintan Package

I had the best 4 days here at The Residence Bintan.

It's in a secluded location, far from the main resort area in the north where all the usual resorts are. It took us about 60 minutes to get from the Tanjung Pinang Ferry Terminal to the Resort via the complimentary transfer service.

I thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful, serene environment that allowed me to escape from the usual hustle and bustle of usual city life.

The rooms are splendid and reasonably priced. The bathrooms are massive. I had the greatest view of the sea from my window (see picture) and even had a small swimming pool that I definitely made good use of. There was even an option for a floating high tea! I could have just locked myself in my room for the entire trip if I wanted to.

The staff were lovely and always smiling - even the pool cleaners and technicians. They also threw in little surprises here and there such as a small box of local cakes each night that made us feel special. They were not stingy at all with the amenities and made our rooms twice a day!

We booked The Residence Bintan to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and we absolutely did not regret it. The place was so peaceful and relaxing, making it the perfect escape. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional and genuinely heartfelt.

A special thank you to Mustika, who helped plan so much of our stay and made everything seamless and stress-free. The food throughout our visit was fantastic, and the private dinner was absolutely amazing — truly perfect for such a special occasion.

Rizky was incredibly accommodating and attentive, always making sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. It was also such a lovely touch that the General Manager personally came to send us off — it really showed how much they value their guests, and it was a pleasure to meet him.

Overall, an unforgettable anniversary stay with outstanding service, amazing food, and a calm, relaxing atmosphere. We can’t wait to come back. - 02 Feb 2026 

This place is truly a hidden gem in Indonesia. Due to its location, not many locals travel here, so the guests are mostly Singaporean, Malaysian, or those living nearby. You can travel directly from Singapore, or like me, go to Batam first and then take a domestic ferry from Batam to Tanjung Pinang.

What I absolutely love about this resort is how naturally beautiful it is. The property is vast, lush, and serene, with its own private beach and a stunning infinity pool overlooking the sea. The landscape feels untouched and peaceful — perfect for disconnecting from the hustle and bustle of city life.

The land is huge and filled with activities, especially for kids. As adults, we enjoyed the local farm tour where they grow their own vegetables — a true farm-to-table concept. We even tasted fresh local honey directly from stingless bee hives. The rabbits and chickens added such a charming touch to the experience.

Do remember to bring mosquito repellent as the grounds are expansive and surrounded by nature, so insects are expected.

The spa was magical — honestly one of the best spa experiences I’ve ever had. Kudos to Putu, Linda and Melati. Their pressure point technique was perfect. Unlike some places where therapists just “touch” you without real technique, here you truly feel properly massaged and cared for.

Breakfast was fabulous. The restaurant supervisor, Kay, was engaging and kind, making the experience even more pleasant. We tried several dishes at the restaurants — everything was delicious. I would recommend focusing more on the local cuisine rather than Western dishes to fully enjoy the authentic flavors.

We stayed in a beach villa with our own private pool, and it was amazing. Being able to swim anytime we wanted felt luxurious and liberating. Sleep quality was 10/10 — peaceful, quiet, and deeply restful.

Overall, it was such a wonderful short getaway away from the stress of work. Truly a rejuvenating experience.

Went on a work trip to do a site visit for a few hotels to host my company event. Chose to stay at The Residence for my first night and it did not disappoint! I was pretty skeptical about the hotel on my way there from Lagoi but when I reached the hotel, it felt very different from the ones I visited. This is truely a holiday resort with excellent and exceptional service. I would like to give a hugeee shout out to Jarwo for assisting me during my stay. Of all the hotels that I visited, The Residence was the only one that I did not managed to contact the Sales team for a site visit but Jarwo was super helpful and managed to arrange for me to look around the hotel the very next day. Very grateful for his help! He took his time to show me around the area, introducing me to all the facilities and activities the resort has to offer. Honestly, such a gem to the hotel! Our holiday at this Hotel was outstanding !!! The location is Awesome if you are looking forward to a relaxed holiday away from city life. The amenities are fabulous - all modern facilities available yet so natural. Definitely well maintained and the whole team is doing an outstanding job !!! Keep up the great work 😊👍👍👍👍

I have wanted to stay here since 2018, and finally, in 2026, that wish came true !!
From the beginning until the end, this stay was a living example of what true hospitality really means!

Even before arrival, the experience had already begun. Eky from the Reservations team was extremely helpful during my pre-arrival arrangements. His communication was warm, friendly, and thoughtful, you could feel their kindness even before stepping into the resort!

Upon arrival, we were given a very warm welcome by Duty Manager, Mr. Octa, followed by seamless assistance from Receptionist Gian. Gian explained everything clearly and in great detail, from the resort map to the available activities. Being greeted by name immediately made us feel recognized and valued. Welcome drinks and cold towels were served, and Mr. Octa even prepared bicycles for us to ride inside the resort without us ever mentioning it. That small but thoughtful gesture showed how well they anticipate guests’ needs.

Around thirty minutes after check-in, we received a message checking on how we felt about the room and proactively asking if we needed any assistance, reassuring us that the team was available 24 hours. This level of attentiveness was truly impressive.

At the Pool Bar, Giri and Rois were super friendly. They greeted us with genuine smiles and created such a warm, familiar atmosphere, it honestly felt like being at home. During our time there, it was clear that their cheerful personalities brought joy not only to us but also to other guests around.

In the evening, we had the pleasure of meeting Front Office Manager, Mr. Jarwo. He recognized both me and my girlfriend, greeted us by name, welcomed us with such warmth, and talked to us. We could felt that we were truly expected and sincerely appreciated!
He also kindly recommended dinner options when I was unsure which restaurant to choose. I thanked him for arranging such a beautiful room and moments for our holiday.

That same evening, Alfred, the receptionist on duty, assisted us in taking photos in front of the lobby. He was incredibly helpful, knew exactly the best angles, and even adjusted the camera settings to make sure we got beautiful pictures, this was another thoughtful touch that did not go unnoticed!!

On the day of check out, we were assisted by Receptionist Fero. Her English was excellent, and without us even mentioning our room number, she already knew it. Duty Manager, Mr. Octa once again took the time to greet us and ask about our stay. The next surprising and heartwarming moment was when the Hotel Manager, Mr. Partono, personally greeted us by name and gave us a fond farewell !!! Being recognized by the Hotel Manager truly made us feel like very important guests !!!

Every single staff member here was wonderful, especially the Front Office team as the first point of contact. They consistently smiled, greeted us by name, and most importantly, they showed GENUINE CARE. You can truly feel that they want to do their best to create memorable experiences for you.

I have stayed in many hotels in Bintan before, and I can say that the service at this hotel is on another level altogether.

The hotel provided a very pleasant stay overall. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, creating a relaxing atmosphere throughout the visit. The breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious food options, making every morning enjoyable. The facilities were well equipped and thoughtfully provided, with plenty of activities available for guests to enjoy. One of the most memorable experiences was cycling around the resort, which was truly fun and refreshing. The view from the room was absolutely amazing, with a direct ocean view that made the stay even more special. 1hr 20min from Bintan Ferry... but the place is beautiful. Very unique property. Staff generally very nice. Huge area, you generally use buggies or bikes to get around. Nothing to do outside the resort. Rooms were lovely. Would return... - 02 Jan 2026 

Great resort for relaxing, family activities or water sports or atv activities. Bear in mind if your rooms are near the pool it’s good but the bar live music might be irritating for your kids till 10pm. - 26 Dec 2025
