What it is
Natra Bintan launched in August 2019 under the Marriott brand of hotels (Previously The Canopi Resort Bintan) is undoubtedly the most popular resort on the island right now. It’s a unique ‘glamping’ (glamorous camping) stay with a huge crystal lagoon in the compound that offers various water activities. Our basic package includes a stay with breakfast, 2-way ferry tickets, and 2-way land transfers. You could add an optional boat ride in the crystal lagoon and a 60-min body massage or Mangrove Tour. Alternatively, you could add a city tour that comes with lunch and body massage.
Where It Is
Situated on the northern part of the island, Natra Bintan is a mere 5-min car ride away from the BBT (Bandar Bentan Telani) Ferry Terminal. Given the fact that it takes less than 1 hour of ferry ride from Singapore’s Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal to Bintan’s BBT Ferry Terminal, it cannot get any more convenient than this to get away from busy Singapore!
Who Should Stay
Although it’s publicized as a distinct holiday resort with its rare ‘glamping’ style, there are also a number of organizations and corporate groups who have done their meetings and retreat at this resort. So whether you are travelling with your partner, a group of friends, or family members, this resort will definitely have something to delight you.
Why Stay Here
There are 2 main clear reasons people are flocking to Natra Bintan: to stay in its ‘glamorous’ camp and to enjoy its huge crystal lagoon. At 6.3 hectare, it’s Asia’s first and largest recreational man-made saltwater lagoon. Its glamorous camp is essentially a modern tent that’s fully equipped with modern amenities such as air conditioning, fan, bed, mini fridge, and full-fledged , one-of-a-kind outdoor toilet. As for the crystal lagoon, it’s home to numerous water activities. There are also other land activities you can do around the lagoon: riding electric scooter and mini ATVs, classic car, Segway, and others.
When To Stay
Natra Bintan, just like all the resorts in Bintan, charges more for the weekend than the weekday. So if you have some flexibility with your schedule, consider going on a weekday. Although it has a huge crystal lagoon, the common areas like the restaurant (there’s only 1) and the walkway are pretty restricted. So brace yourself for a little discomfort if you were to go on a weekend. Also, kindly take note of the peak surcharges that are applicable on public holidays. Whichever Bintan resort and package you wish to book for your next holiday, just book it with BintanGetaway. Just like Natra Bintan, we are the undisputed number 1 Bintan travel site for Singapore market.
