The Sanchaya Bintan Package

We stayed in this piece of paradise for 5 nights. Our first time to Indonesia and to Bintan island as well. I have travelled extensively and I cannot remember a resort/hotel that I can honestly say ticked every single box. Service and staff were exemplary, food was of the highest order and location was second to none. I have no problem recommending this place to anyone, you will thank yourself for the unbelievable experience. Do yourself a favour and experience this amazing resort. - 20 Feb 2026 

I’m not usually one to write reviews, but our stay here was so exceptional that I felt compelled to share our experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond in every possible way. Their attention to detail and genuine warmth made us feel like valued guests rather than just another booking.

A hidden gem of a beach front hotel. Everything about this hotel is excellent starting with your arrival at the terminal. They ate the only ones with a private lounge, the staff are the nicest people ever and they remember every little detail about you or your family.

The hotel itself is gorgeous, more space in their modern villas, delicious food at their restaurants and the best pool I have ever been to with a nice ocean view.

I booked the Vanda Villa in Sanchaya for a family holiday, enroute to Singapore to see my extended family. What an incredible experience from start to finish! Everything was spot on and we were looked after extremely well throughout our stay. Everyone in the Sanchaya team was happy, friendly, respectful and attentive, with a smile and always on hand to assist.
As soon as we exited the ferry from Singapore, we were met by Fadil, our villa dedicated companion. We were led to The Sanchaya lounge while Fadil picked up our luggage. The cars were ready to take us to The Sanchaya after a relaxing drink. As the cars approached The Sanchaya, the Manager Greg and his team were waiting to greet us as soon as we got out of the car.
Vanda Villa was spacious and perfect, with a private infinity pool and comfortable ground and upper floor living rooms. We could walk out to the white sand beach from our villa, which felt like a private beach. The bedrooms were spacious, the toiletries luxurious, and high-quality tea and snacks were provided in the rooms.
Every day was a wonderful experience. Breakfast was ready in the villa at the time we requested. We were able to decide the day before or on the day where we wanted to have our lunch and dinner, i.e. the villa or the restaurant. The food served were high quality and there was a good selection of wine. We were able to request food to be specially made for my 10-month-old grandson who thoroughly enjoyed each meal. The evening canapes and cocktails were such a treat.
Our rooms were always immaculate, used towels replaced and the floors cleaned. Everything from toiletries to snacks and drinks were never empty, and always topped up.
The Sanchaya provided a car to take us outside the resort and lunch at a local seafood restaurant. We were accompanied by Fadil, who made sure everything went smoothly.
We participated in a number of activities in The Sanchaya: yoga, archery, paddle tennis, paddle board, lawn croquet, gym, kite flying, cookery lessons, spar. We also had the option to try other fun activities on the beach, which was not part of the resort.
I highly recommend The Sanchaya for a relaxing fun holiday, with beautiful and peaceful surroundings. The Sanchaya provides a world class service and makes every guest feel special and valued. It was also a perfect place for family bonding.

Sadly we have just departed from a very relaxing 7 nights at The Sanchaya. From arrival at Bintan the service has been impecable. We were greeted by our christian names at every interaction which is a lovely touch. Everyone was welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The food was great and always served with the addition of a smile. We were treated to a room upgrade which was much appreciated. Loved the pool - and loved the delivery of the poolside basket containing sparkling and still water, lime slices, bug spray and sun cream, which arrived soon after sitting down. We enjoyed a movie complete with a bowl of popcorn in the conference room one rainy afternoon. I've nothing negative to say ... it was a wonderful break. I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Sanchaya in Bintan, and it was truly an outstanding experience from start to finish. This is not just a hotel, but a place where every detail has been carefully thought through, and where service goes beyond expectations.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by Gregory, the manager, who warmly welcomed us with such professionalism and genuine hospitality. His personal approach set the tone for our stay — making us feel at home right away.

The staff at The Sanchaya operate at an exceptionally high level. They don’t just provide service — they anticipate your needs, remember your preferences, and always go the extra mile. For example, they recalled our meal choices and what we typically liked to order, which made dining feel effortless and personal. What impressed me most was how the staff always addressed us by name, which made the entire experience feel intimate and thoughtful, as though we were among friends rather than just guests.

The dining options were superb. Breakfast is à la carte, with each dish freshly prepared and incredibly tasty. Lunches and dinners showcased originality and creativity in their dishes, making every meal memorable. The hotel’s approach to food is sophisticated yet comforting.

The facilities also deserve special mention. The library lounge is a beautiful space to spend your evenings — cozy, well-curated, and perfect for relaxing with a book. Housekeeping maintained our room to the highest standard, with everything spotless and immaculately arranged daily. The spa was another highlight: serene, welcoming, and run by a team of professionals who made each treatment a calming experience.

A few thoughtful touches elevated the stay even further: the complimentary mini-bar and in-room coffee machine — something we’ve rarely seen even in the best five-star hotels — were both exceptional. Any small concern we raised was immediately addressed and resolved, showing the staff’s genuine commitment to ensuring a perfect guest experience.

The journey to the hotel is also seamless. Arriving from the ferry, we were greeted with a comfortable car transfer, and even the lounge at the ferry terminal reflected the same elegance and care that defines The Sanchaya.

Overall, The Sanchaya Bintan is a place I would recommend wholeheartedly to anyone visiting the island. It combines world-class service, beautiful surroundings, and a truly personal touch that makes every guest feel valued. It is also very clear that much of this excellence comes from Gregory’s dedication and commitment to the hotel — his leadership and effort are visible everywhere, and they make The Sanchaya the exceptional destination that it is. - 05 Sep 2025

The Sanchaya is the definition of a true luxury resort. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the unmatched level of service – something we have rarely experienced anywhere else in the world. The atmosphere is incredibly peaceful, with a private beach that feels like paradise.

We rarely felt so deeply relaxed and recharged. What stood out most was the genuine friendliness and warm hospitality of every single member of the team. We felt more than just welcome – we felt truly cared for.

Did not see rooms as I just had lunch here. Stunning hotel with wonderful friendly staff , great lunch we had. Just bear in mind that this beach is a tidal beach and if it’s low tide you simply can’t swim. Lovely for walks at the beach though. - 30 Aug 2025
